With his eagerly anticipated second album, Falling in Love, coming on September 12th via Decca Records, Matteo confidently claims the spotlight as a next-generation artist—one with a poet’s soul and the potential of a global pop star.

That “next generation” label is more than a title. As the son of legendary tenor Andrea Bocelli—whose voice has captivated the world for over thirty years—Matteo’s journey isn’t merely a career move. It’s his inheritance, a responsibility, and a transformative step that takes him from successor to trailblazer.

Matteo Bocelli also unveils the deeply emotional new single To Get To Love You. Co-written with Grammy-winning songwriter Amy Wadge, the moving ballad includes a sample from the iconic 1968 Michel Boisrond film La Leçon Particulière, infusing it with cinematic richness and timeless emotion.

It’s a bold declaration from an artist whose identity extends beyond his surname. This isn’t a story of someone coasting on legacy—it’s one of an artist shaping his own legacy, blending heritage with fresh direction. Just as Enrique Iglesias brought his father Julio’s Latin fire to international pop in the early 2000s, Matteo is now creating his own space—a sensual, emotive style that stands apart from fleeting trends.

But the road hasn’t been simple. The Bocelli name carries immense weight, placing Matteo constantly under scrutiny.

The challenge of meeting the high expectations set by his father has been a defining force, driving Matteo to demonstrate his own artistic depth. “Being a Bocelli is both a privilege and a responsibility,” he says. “I’ve never wanted to run from my father’s incredible legacy but I do want people to hear my voice, my emotions and my version of love.”

And they will. Falling in Love is an album filled with romantic longing and emotional openness, featuring stirring tracks like Amnesia d’amore and the cinematic, heartfelt ballad If I Can’t Have You. Each song blends the strength of classical roots with contemporary lyrical storytelling.

Matteo co-wrote every original track alongside celebrated songwriters such as Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran), Toby Gad (Beyoncé, John Legend), Martin Terefe (Jason Mraz, James Morrison), Iain Archer (Snow Patrol, Jake Bugg), and Johan Carlsson (Ariana Grande, Maroon 5). He also plays piano throughout, highlighting his musical talent.

His sound is shaped by diverse influences—particularly pop icon Ed Sheeran, who collaborated with Matteo on Chasing Stars, the breakout 2023 single that propelled him into international prominence.

Yet what distinguishes Matteo even more is the warmth he brings offstage. There’s a human quality that seems to shine from within—perhaps part of why his appeal extends beyond music. His natural charm has led to friendships with global figures like Bella and Gigi Hadid through shared family ties. And it was the voices of Matteo and his father Andrea that filled the air at Kourtney Kardashian’s wedding.

Much like Ferrari represents Italian excellence in engineering, the Bocelli name reflects Italy’s rich cultural heritage. The family lives in the heart of Tuscany—surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills—offering the quintessential Italian lifestyle of sunny afternoons, Aperol Spritz, vintage cars, and music set against cinematic scenery.

That spirit of relaxed escape runs through the album, which is why Matteo invited all the producers and musicians working on Falling in Love into his home, where he cooked meals using ingredients from his garden. Making pasta with fresh tomato sauce and sharing time over food and laughter helped bring authenticity to the music.

This November, Matteo brings his unique fusion of tradition and modern charm back to the UK for three intimate performances. Following the global acclaim of his debut tour—including a sold-out Sydney Opera House—he will embark on an international tour this autumn. Having performed for King Charles III, President Biden, and opened for Lionel Richie, he will perform in Manchester (Nov 2), Birmingham (Nov 4), and London (Nov 5).

Though widely recognized as a singer, Matteo’s talents span multiple disciplines. He has starred in a Guess fashion campaign, acted alongside Idris Elba, and even appeared with his family in The Simpsons holiday special Feliz Navidad.

This is Matteo Bocelli—a versatile artist, a grounded yet romantic visionary, and the inheritor of a timeless legacy. Like Shawn Mendes rising to global fame or Enrique Iglesias reshaping pop romance, Matteo stands ready to become a universal favorite—a modern icon rooted in tradition, blending classic emotion with contemporary sophistication.
