The raunchy animated world of talking food is making a comeback. Prime Video announced that Sausage Party: Foodtopia will return for its second season on August 13, 2025. All eight episodes will drop at once, available in more than 240 countries and territories.

Season Two picks up with Frank, Barry, and Sammy exiled from their former home. They land in New Foodland, a gleaming utopia where food and humans live in harmony. But the city’s polished exterior hides something far more sinister. “Beneath the city’s glossy fridges and cheery smiles lies a dark secret that threatens the entirety of sentient food society.”
Familiar voices return, including Seth Rogen, Will Forte, Edward Norton, and Michael Cera. The cast also welcomes new additions: Marion Cotillard plays Dijon, “a badass warrior-mustard princess” who commands the city’s strongest humey; Jillian Bell joins as Trish, “an empathic nut” fiercely loyal to New Foodland; Martin Starr voices Sherman, Trish’s mysterious cake companion; and Patti Harrison portrays Jill, a human from the utopian city.
The series is executive produced by Ariel Shaffir and Kyle Hunter, who also serve as showrunners. Shaffir and Hunter co-wrote the original 2016 film with Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Rogen, Goldberg, James Weaver, Alex McAtee, and Jonah Hill return as executive producers under the Point Grey Pictures banner, with Madeline Blair overseeing. Conrad Vernon, co-director of the original film, is back to direct and executive produce.
Foodtopia is a co-production between Annapurna Television, Sony Pictures Television, and Amazon MGM Studios. The original Sausage Party was a surprise box-office success, blending crude humor with animated satire. Its follow-up aims to build on that legacy—with sharper jokes and deeper bites.
