Disney has released a new trailer and poster for Freakier Friday, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2003 hit comedy. Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan return as Tess and Anna Coleman, bringing fresh energy—and more body-swapping mayhem—to a new generation.
Set 22 years after their original switch, the story finds Anna all grown up with a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As her family blends and tensions rise, the past comes back in a surprising way. When strange events start unfolding, Tess and Anna realize the magic they once thought was behind them might be making a comeback. And once again, they’ll have to walk in each other’s shoes—literally.

Directed by Nisha Ganatra and inspired by Mary Rodgers’ classic book Freaky Friday, the sequel mixes heart, humor, and chaos in all the right ways. Alongside Curtis and Lohan, the film features a star-studded cast including Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Rosalind Chao, Chad Michael Murray, Vanessa Bayer, and Mark Harmon.
Freakier Friday is produced by Kristin Burr, Andrew Gunn, and Jamie Lee Curtis. Executive producers include Nathan Kelly, Ann Marie Sanderlin, and Lindsay Lohan.
Get ready for a new twist on a familiar favorite when Freakier Friday hits theaters exclusively on August 8, 2025.
