The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and Vogue have announced the ten finalists for the 2025 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. Now in its 21st year, the fund continues its mission to support emerging American fashion talent through funding, mentorship, and industry exposure.
This year’s finalists are Ashlynn Park of Ashlyn, Julian Louie of Aubero, Bach Mai, Bernard James, Ashley Moubayed of Don’t Let Disco, Gabe Gordon and Timothy Gibbons of Gabe Gordon, Stephanie Suberville of Heirlome, Jamie Okuma, Meruert Tolegen, and Peter Do. The group spans a wide range of disciplines—womenswear, menswear, jewelry, and accessories—and includes designers at various stages in their careers, reflecting the current challenges faced by independent labels in the industry.

The winner will receive a $300,000 cash prize. Two runners-up will each be awarded \$100,000. All ten designers will benefit from ongoing business mentorship, a core part of the program’s commitment to long-term growth and sustainability.
The 2025 selection panel features key figures from across the fashion industry. Leading the group is Anna Wintour of Vogue, joined by Mark Holgate and Nicole Phelps, also from Vogue. From the CFDA, Steven Kolb and Chairman Thom Browne serve as judges, along with Zac Posen of Gap Inc. and Old Navy. Other panelists include Aurora James of Brother Vellies, Eva Chen of Instagram, model Paloma Elsesser, Rickie De Sole of Nordstrom, and Roopal Patel of Saks Fifth Avenue.
Beyond the monetary awards, this year’s finalists will take part in several brand-building challenges. One of these is Nordstrom’s “Secure the Space Challenge,” where one designer will earn the opportunity to sell their collection in select Nordstrom stores. The initiative is now in its third year. Additionally, Tommy Hilfiger is returning as lead mentor for the second year, offering guidance to each finalist through a separate design challenge backed by his brand.
Launched in the aftermath of 9/11, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund was created to uplift the next generation of American designers. Since its inception, the program has awarded more than \$7.7 million and supported 189 designers. Many have gone on to become leading names in global fashion, including Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler, Rodarte, Thom Browne, and Joseph Altuzarra.
The 2025 winner will be announced on November 18 at a gala in New York City.
