Disney and Pixar’s newest animated adventure, Elio, hits Philippine theaters on June 18, 2025 — and the final trailer is out now, offering a closer look at the colorful, cosmic world awaiting moviegoers.
The film follows 11-year-old Elio (voiced by Yonas Kibreab), a boy obsessed with outer space who dreams of meeting aliens. One day, that dream becomes reality when he’s accidentally transported to the Communiverse, an intergalactic council representing planets across the universe. Mistaken for Earth’s leader, Elio is suddenly tasked with representing humanity.
The trailer introduces a fun cast of alien characters, including Glordon (Remy Edgerly), Elio’s first alien friend; Ambassador Grigon (Brad Garrett), a powerful space warlord; Ambassador Questa (Jameela Jamil); and the shapeshifting supercomputer OOOOO (Shirley Henderson). We also meet Olga (America Ferrera), Elio’s strong and loving mom, who plays a key role back on Earth.
As Elio forms unexpected friendships and faces cosmic challenges, he must discover where he truly belongs — both in the universe and within himself.
Directed by Adrian Molina (co-director and screenwriter of Coco) and produced by Mary Alice Drumm (associate producer of Coco), Elio is a heartwarming, visually dazzling tale of identity, courage, and connection across worlds.
