Jordan Andrews has officially joined the cast of the iconic Trumpets musical Joseph the Dreamer, taking on the title role in selected performances while also playing Judah, Joseph’s fifth brother. A staple of Filipino theater, Joseph the Dreamer has inspired audiences for decades with its story of resilience, forgiveness, and faith. Now, Jordan steps into the spotlight—following in the footsteps of Audie Gemora, Gary Valenciano, Alvin dela Peña, Franco Laurel, Sam Concepcion, and Neo Rivera—as the newest artist to wear the legendary coat of many colors.
Jordan poster a reel after the official announcement and expressed just how meaningful this opportunity is for him: “This dreamer has got some huge shoes to fill… excuse me, I mean… COAT to wear 😁 I haven’t fully processed this all yet but all I know is it’s such a huge blessing to step into this Musical playing both Joseph and Judah. Following in the footsteps of these Theater Greats will be no easy feat but I am excited to tell this Story and Never Look Down!”

In a chat with PalabasTayo.com, Jordan revealed that he had to keep the news to himself for a while. “Before the announcement, I’ve literally been keeping this one to myself,” he said. “Everyone assumed I’m just playing the brother role.” Rehearsals have been both exciting and intense. “The dancing is killing me,” he laughed, noting that he’s also been taking acting and voice lessons to fully prepare for the show. As for adjusting his voice, Jordan joked that he won’t be using his British accent to blend with everybody in the cast. “Although one of them did British last time for some reason” he said.
Jordan is best known to Filipino audiences as the “Musical Dream Chaser ng London” from Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10 – Celebrity Edition, where he charmed viewers with his voice and authenticity. But his career began much earlier in the UK, where he played ‘Tam’ in the West End production of Miss Saigon. His other theater credits include The King and I, Bugsy Malone, Whistle Down the Wind, and The Lion King, including performances for the British Royal Family. He later transitioned into UK television before joining ABS-CBN’s Star Magic Batch 15. From 2013 to 2021, Jordan worked in Hollywood as a multi-hyphenate artist.
Since returning to the Philippines, Jordan has appeared in several major productions, including Ang Huling El Bimbo, Tabing Ilog, Spelling Bee, Little Women, Rent, and Once On This Island. Now, as he celebrates his 30th year, he takes on one of local theater’s most iconic roles. “I love this show and saw Tito Gary and Sam Concepcion in the last staging,” he shared.
Jordan alternates as Joseph with Sam Concepcion in this musical directed by Paolo Valenciano. The cast also includes Gary Valenciano as Jacob; Aicelle Santos and Julia Serad alternating as Rachel; Lorenz Martinez and Carlo Orosa as Pharaoh; and Naya Ambi and Kayla Rivera as Asenath. Aldo Vencilao plays Potiphar and also joins the ensemble.
Joseph’s brothers are portrayed by RJ dela Fuente (Reuben), Matthew Barbers (Simeon), Carlos Canlas (Levi), Antonio Valdez (Dan), Jim Ferrer (Naphtali), Renz Bernardo (Gad), Sam Panlilio (Issachar), Luis Marcelo (Zebulun), and Matteo Jimenez and Ken San Jose alternating as Benjamin. Clave Sun and Liam Nery alternate as young Joseph.
The ensemble includes Daniel Solis, who also serves as the male swing, and Sheena Lee Palad as Mrs. Potiphar and part of the female ensemble. The female ensemble also features Dippy Arceo (also alternate Mrs. Potiphar), Kathleen Francisco, Coleen Paz, and Iya Villanueva. Justine Narciso joins as the female swing.
With a powerful cast and fresh energy, Joseph the Dreamer continues to capture hearts and ignite hope. For Jordan Andrews, stepping into the coat is not just a role—it’s a dream come true, thirty years in the making.
