The US team behind “Disney in Concert: Live Your Dream” casts eight Pinoy Thespians for the show’s Kuala Lumpur leg. After by-invitation auditions held sometime in February/March 2023, Disney US handpicked for their female vocalists: Carla Guevara-Laforteza, Yanah Laurel, Kayla Rivera, and Shiela Valderrama-Martinez. For male vocalists, they selected Vic Robinson, Vien King, Arman Ferrer, and Floyd Tena.

The eight performers who are individually known for their exemplary reputations on stage and the screen make the Philippines proud as they join the highly-anticipated “Disney in Concert: Live Your Dream“. After making waves globally including in Manila just last March 31 and April 1, this year, the concert will be premiering in Malaysia featuring vocalists singing Disney favorites backed by a 46-piece orchestra. Instead of just four singers from the United States, the concert in KL will showcase a powerhouse of eight Filipino theater stars.
Kayla Rivera shares that it is an exciting and jampacked show. “Lots to study and prepare for so now… asides radio, I’m hyper-focusing on prepping for this”.
The concert will be held at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 3:00 pm and 7:30 pm, and a matinee show on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 3:00 pm.
